Megan Furniss, DO
Dr. Furniss is a board-certified dermatologist and member of the American Osteopathic Association who was born and raised in Humboldt County in Arcata, California. She graduated with high honors from UC Berkeley and is a diplomate of Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California, graduating third in her class. After completing a two-year post-doctoral clinical research fellowship in autoimmune diseases of the skin at Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Furniss completed her Dermatology Residency at Michigan State University/Botsford Hospital where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Furniss is thrilled to be providing dermatologic care to the Lakeport community and brings over ten years of medical training and experience to Integrated Dermatology of Lakeport, PC.
In her spare time, Dr. Furniss enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and boating, as well as gardening, dancing, cooking, travel and eating and spending time with her dog Oliver,
a 15-pound Australian Shepherd who loves chasing squirrels, leaping in circles, and napping.
Greg Hadfield, P.A.
Greg Hadfield is a board-certified physician assistant who has provided dermatology at this practice since 2009.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University in Human Biology and returned to Stanford School of Medicine to attain his Physician Assistant certification in 2001.
Before joining Lake Dermatology Medical Associates, he provided PA care overseas as both a practitioner and instructor of combat trauma medicine, and currently, provides part-time care at Sutter Lakeside Hospital Emergency Department.
Greg served twenty years in the military, completing numerous combat deployments with both active duty and national guard in just about every theater of combat from 1986 to 2006.
His training and practice with multiple board-certified dermatologists and extensive dermatological experience allow him to provide competent and complete clinical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology diagnoses and procedures to patients in Lake County. Greg is an active member in the Society of Dermatological PAs, California Academy of PAs, and The American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Josy Jackson – Office Manager
Josy Jackson has over 20 years’ experience in clinical administrative roles, ten of those years at Lake Dermatology. Patients at the practice rely on her professionalism and welcome her smiling face. She is a fixture at the practice and enjoys working with Dr. Furniss. Outside of work, Josy spends time with her husband and two teenage children.
